Materials & Construction
Our Fabric
The Brouhaha is wrapped in our Rising Tide Broadside™ fabric, a slipcover system we developed for homes that don’t tiptoe around real life. The high-performance polyester blend is tightly woven to resist stains, fuzz, and fading — but soft enough to invite all-day lounging.
The slipcovers are fully removable and machine-washable, designed to handle juice boxes, muddy paws, a bit of Barolo in the wrong place, and everything in between. Just as importantly, it won’t cling to every hair or tumbleweed of fur that wanders by.
It’s the rare kind of fabric that can take a hit and still look like it has its life together.
To clean your covers:
- Unzip and remove them (yes, it’s easy).
- Machine wash on cold with mild detergent.
- Tumble dry low or hang to dry.
- Pop them back on and move on with your day.
To keep things looking sharp:
- Rotate covers every few months if they get heavy use.
- Spot clean spills as they happen — a damp cloth and mild soap go a long way.
What to avoid:
- Bleach, fabric softeners, or high heat.
Brouhaha was built for chaos. So don’t baby it. Just clean it when you need to — and let it get back to work.
Our Cushions
Sit once. Understand instantly.
We build our sectionals the same way we build our reputation: to last.
Our seats are intentionally firm — engineered with premium high-density foam so they retain their shape over time. Why? Because we believe your sofa shouldn’t need constant fluffing, flipping, or babying to look good and feel great. This isn’t the kind of cushion you melt into — it’s the kind that supports you, holds its shape, and stays looking sharp for years.
If your back is working hard carrying the weight of the day — kids, tools, groceries — it will love our firm cushions too. There's nothing better for your back health.
Those looking for something ultra-soft or cloud-like, this isn't it. But if you’re after a sofa that earns its keep in a house full of feet, paws, pizza nights, and Sunday naps? You’ve found it.
No fluffing. No sagging. No worries.
Our Suspension System
Beneath each cushion is a grid of polypropylene webbing — a water-resistant, seatbelt-like material that provides steady, reliable support without the squeaks or sagging.
Polypropylene doesn’t stretch or rot like jute, and unlike spring systems, it won’t poke, squeak, or require specialty repairs if something goes wrong. It’s the kind of no-nonsense suspension that works hard quietly, keeping the shape and feel of your sectional intact for years to come.
Our Frames
We build our frames from mango wood, a dense, sustainable hardwood with the strength and structure of oak. Every frame is corner-blocked and reinforced with cross-bracing — over-engineered by design, so you’ll feel the quality the moment it’s delivered.
The legs are built directly into the frame, not screwed on later — which makes them stronger and doubles as structural bracing. You’ll notice the difference in both stability and weight.
Despite the heft, every piece is doorway-conscious. At 29.5” tall, the Brouhaha is designed to fit through most standard doorways when turned on its side — no disassembly or dramatic hallway negotiations required. That said, we still recommend measuring your space just to be sure, especially in older homes with narrower doors or sharp hallway turns.

Hello there, I'm Cole. If you like supporting the little guy and are tired of overpriced furniture from faceless corporations, you’re in the right place. Our furniture is higher quality, our prices are way lower, and the profits fund our own 75,000sf Youth & Community Center (Rising Tide Center) here in Beloit, Wisconsin; where we provide FREE Youth Sports and FREE After-School to more than 1,600 local youth.
Due to the fact that we make and design all of our furniture ourselves, we currently only offer a handful of offerings. This is because each new item takes significant time to design, prototype, test, and perfect. This, combined with our small team, is also why we do not offer custom orders at this time. As time goes on, we hope to gradually expand our furnishings to a wider selection.

ART worth the wait!! Furniture is an understatement. It might take a few months to get these amazing chairs and sofas but handcrafted pieces like these don't come off a fast moving assembly line. I've wanted the Aviator Chairs for years, I finally pulled the trigger for my loft which is a bourbon whisky style theme and wow do they really complete what I was trying to accomplish! Great Communication through the entire process and literally a white glove professional delivery above and beyond today's standards. I'm looking to order a Chesterfield next! THANKS RISING TIDE!!!
I bought two chesterfield sofas and four matching armchairs for my cigar lounge and bar. The quality and style are amazing! They are crowd favorites and the craftmanship is outstanding. I wish my lounge was bigger so I could justify buying more. Communication and follow up after delivery were spot on, too! I highly recommend Rising Tide Design Co.
Amazing green Chesterfield. Not going to lie I was worried about what could show up. Pleasantly surprised by the quality of this furniture. My nephew and the dog are breaking it in nicely. Very well made Highly recommend Rising Tide Design. And last but not least they are a small company and take care of their community.
The guys brought the furniture into our home and as they unwrapped the shipping material you could see the beauty in the rich colors of our new furniture emerge. We have shopped at all the big name brand stores looking for leather furniture, and nothing we seen can compare to the look and price of this couch and love seat.Buying this high quality leather furniture also allows us to help the many children that are supported by this great cause.
What an amazing experience! I have been wanting a love seat from rising tide for years!! I found them and fell in love. Love with their story and their style of couch. I finally pulled the trigger on one for our lounge/ cigar room in our house and it couldnt be a better fit! They kept us updated throughout the process, especially after our furniture was made. They gave up tracking info as soon as they received it and we were able to watch it get closer and closer! Now that its here in our home the wait was WELL WORTH IT. We cant wait to grow old with this piece of furniture!!!!
We loved the whole process or picking out and ordering our beautiful living room set! Outstanding quality! We get lots of compliments.
Our chesterfields are gorgeous. We love how they jazz up our home and we marvel at their extraordinary workmanship. The wait was worth it; we were not in a hurry and, when we reached out for reassurance, Deep or Cole from Rising Tide always responded in timely fashion. The leather conditioner is a must and smells so nice. This is a big online investment, but our sofas arrived in perfect condition and we had enough support from Rising Tide to manage our expectations. They are stunning, as firm as promised and perfect for napping (ours are the longest length). Very Satisfied.
Not only was I extremely happy with the sofa, the customer service was excellent. Highly recommended
We purchased a loveseat, chair and ottoman from Rising Tide. The quality of all three is amazing. Really artisanal feeling and incredibly good materials. All three pieces really tie the room together!
Incredible customer service and the couch exceeded expectations. Would recommend 10/10 times!!
I own a beard supply store and ordered 4 pieces of chesterfield furniture in the tufted oxford red: 87" couch, 2 chairs & an ottoman. Upon delivery, they exceeded my expectations. They are absolutely gorgeous and I find myself staring at them frequently lol. Rising Tide Design did a wonderful job! I highly recommend them if you're looking for a high quality product. They definitely set my shop apart.
I was searching for a Chesterfield on the internet when I discovered Rising Tide Design Co. I was pleasantly surprised by the price and as I delved further, I was impressed with the program they have started in their hometown. I was apprehensive about ordering my furniture online, but it was a smooth process and well defined. As my beautiful Cheyenne was delivered on the date agreed upon, I was very happy with the craftsmanship and quality. I love the color and how it has brought a level of class to my room. This furniture will last for many, many years! And after delivery, Cole followed up to make sure everything was satisfactory. Excellent customer service!
We absolutely love our couches. Thank you Rising Tide for your great customer service. The quality of these couches are fantastic. It took a couple of months to receive them, and wow, were we excited to finally have them. They have held up beautifully over the past few years and totally make the room. Theyre so comfortable but firm. We were looking for Chesterfield tufted couches for a while and many seemed to be out of our price range, until I found the Rising Tide Design Co. website. When I first saw the pricing, I thought, this can be right.. but after reading about the company and the costumer reviews, I was sold. Thanks again for these wonderful couches that will last a lifetime.
The Rising Tide company makes a beautiful product. You can see that there is a great deal of attention put into each and every piece of furniture that they build. The communication is timely and their customer service is by far the best.
People at The Rising Tide were wonderful throughout the process. Ordering was easy, and they responded promptly to all inquiries. The furniture arrived on time, well packed, and in perfect shape. I am very pleased.
We love our new 87" Polo Green Chesterfield. It's just gorgeous. We are impressed by the high quality. The dimensions are so thoughtful - like how the height of the back and sides of the Chesterfield are perfect to rest an arm on, how my husband and I can sit on either end with our feet facing each other and both fit nicely, and how the tufted bench is firm yet incredibly comfortable. The Rising Tide customer service reps kept us in the loop with updates throughout the process. They were always prompt and professional. The shipping process takes time (we were glad we didn't give away our old sofa until this one arrived), but it's SO worth the patience. The contracted delivery service was also in frequent communication once they received it and their delivery worked exactly like Rising Tide said it would. We are thrilled with what we hope is our forever piece of furniture. If I had room for another Rising Tide addition, I would definitely purchase a matching companion piece of furniture.
Im in love with our set of oxford red tufted arm chairs and 95 sofa! Our vision was a parlor vibe and these gorgeous pieces helps anchor the room! The design and the craftsman ship is superb! The arm chair is extra comfy, it swallows you in! The height was shorter than envisioned, which is a plus as the lower profile helps with sight lines. The price was also generous and customer service was helpful throughout the process! The process can take up to six months, trade routes and tariffs were contributing factors. Overall, I would absolutely recommend Rising Tide!
We ordered a leather couch and ottoman for our TV room. It was a timely process because the pieces are made to order, but it was worth the wait. We were kept informed of timeline with shipping and delivery process, and when we had questions, our emails were met with quick and appropriate responses. We would definitely do business with Rising Tide Design Company again.
We just received our Hemmingway sofa, chair and ottoman. It is absolutely gorgeous. It is also incredibly well made. The color is spectacular. Rising Tide exceeds all my expectations in their furniture design and the ways in which they conduct their business. It is a pleasure having these pieces in our home. Really lovely and well made furniture. From ordering to delivery, this has been a wonderful experience.
Truly a lovely piece of furniture. Extremely high-quality craftsmanship and attention to detail. Beautiful and comfortable. Anchors the entire room.
Rising Tide was very helpful in deciding whether to purchase during an uncertain time with tariffs and import times. We ended up buying a Remington sofa and loveseat and absolutely love them. We did not have to pay any tariffs and the team communicated the whole way through. Our speakeasy room looks incredible now and we couldnt be happier!
We've had our Polo Green Chesterfield Leather Sofa (tufted bench) for about a week now, and couldn't be happier. Rising Tide makes a great product. Sturdy, firm, comfortable, and it looks amazing! Did it take a while to arrive? Sure, it's a custom order. Was it worth the wait? Definitely! Responsive, personalized communication the entire time, right up to receiving the delivery. Their shipper even gave us a phone call to let us choose the delivery day!
I'm really enjoying my Remington Chesterfield sofa, the quality is superb and the look is more impressive in person. The people at Rising Tide kept me informed on every step of the process up to day of delivery and even after. I am so happy I went with them.
We were so excited to receive our 2 chesterfield tufted chairs in perfect condition. Well worth the wait of a custom order that is top quality! Customer service was equally amazing. Always quick to respond with 5 star service.
I recently received the Hemingway Chesterfield Leather Sofa I purchased over the summer, and it looks even better in person than it did on their website. The Rising Tide Co. team were extremely helpful and responsive to my many status update requests. Based on my experience, I can without hesitation highly recommend their furniture to others.
I searched and searched for my chesterfield leather seating before I stumbled upon Rising Tide. I can say without a shadow of a doubt, I would order from this company again. The quality of the furniture is AMAZING. The craftsmanship, and materials used are top notch. But none of that compares to the level of customer service provided by the company. Cole took such amazing care of me as a customer and made the transaction worth while. When you buy furniture from Rising Tide, know that you are getting TOP NOTCH furniture that with the right care will last for generations. It may be foreshadowing, but I am sure I will order from this company when the time comes to buy more leather seating. My Chesterfields in Remington have been received so many compliments since I received them by all who visit, and I let everyone know where I bought them. Rising Tide Furniture, you folks deserve all the praise. Thank you for taking care of me and my family!
I just received my 95" green Chesterfield couch (with normal cushions) and ottoman. It's *beautiful* and the green leather is so vibrant and rich. The cushions are quite firm as described. The customer service is fantastic and Cole kept us updated on delivery dates and checked in on us after delivery to make sure that we were satisfied with our furniture. It did take a while to receive our order, but it was worth the wait for sure. I would definitely order from Rising Tide again.
My couch arrived in perfect condition and the company was responsive via email and addressed any/all questions and concerns.
We could not be more happy with our purchase! The green Chesterfield really shines and has brought our den together far better than I would have imagined. If you're on the fence about ordering one, just do it, you will absolutely not regret it. It does take a while from purchase to delivery, but the quality is top notch and, with a little periodic care, it will last a lifetime.
This is the best quality and most beautiful furniture weve ever purchased! It is absolutely worth the wait. Thank you for such artistry and craftsmanship!
I purchased a 96" long Winchester leather sofa from Rising Tide earlier in 2025. This couch was exactly what we wanted and the whole process from ordering, to delivery and follow up was personally handled by a team member and it felt customized and like I was truly heard and had all my questions answered. This long couch had to go up 2 flights of stairs and I was concerned it would not be able to fit fue to its length, so when I reached out to the Rising Tide team, they were not only able to help me figure out the dimensions of my stairs, but also reviewed it and reassured me it would fit. Delivery was super easy, very professional service and with great communication. Overall, we are super happy with the whole process, we would definitely order again and would recommend to anyone who wants a well made, hand crafted, high quality sofa that will last them years to come and also receive excellent customer service throughout the entire process.
95" Laramie Chesterfield Sofa with tufted bench We are so pleased with our purchase from Rising Tide Design. It is a beautiful piece of well-crafted quality furniture. We have received so many compliments. "Your leather sofa is gorgeous". and "It completes the living room with its elevated style."The process was seamless. Rising Tide kept me informed on the progress - from production of the sofa to the date of delivery. Then followed up to make sure we were happy with our purchase and delivery. Our sofa was delivered by a professional delivery team. They even took the freight box and bubble wrap with them! I highly recommend Rising Tide Design and will be ordering more leather furniture from them in the future.
This company has some of the best customer support and communication I have ever experienced. Great company quick to respond and beautiful leather furniture.
We recently received two Remington Chesterfield Sofas from Rising Tide - one 87" and one 95". We chose Rising Tide because we loved the descriptions of the construction quality, the thickness of the leather, and our hopes that these (unlike cheaper sofas we've had in the past) would hold up to a busy house with children, lots of guests and a resident dog and cat. We also try to purchase responsibly whenever we can, and we love the mission of Rising Tide. We would absolutely purchase these again. To address some of the concerns expressed by other reviewers: DELIVERY LEAD TIME: Given the information on their website and the reviews, I expected the order to take several months to arrive - I ordered on May 2 and received the sofas in my living room on November 12, just in time for holiday hosting. We have a 1920's home which we have renovated, and I always expect things to take longer than planned, so the timeline didn't bother us. COMFORT: These sofas are firm, but I think they'll hold up to the heavy use of our home. They're a bit deep for most people, so we added some cotton velvet feather throw pillows (I mention the material details because I find that synthetic, light pillows just slide off leather like this). The pillows allow everyone to sit comfortably. I'm lounging on one right now while writing this review and I'm quite comfortable. STYLE: The Chesterfields are elegant, stunning and fit the character and period of our 1920s home - truly timeless. Everyone comments on how beautiful they are and we hope to enjoy them for decades.
Rising Tide Design Co. is truly amazing! We purchased a few couches, chairs, and ottomans, and were beyond happy with everything. The quality is outstanding, the furniture is beautiful, and their customer service is excellent. We absolutely love this company and highly recommend them!
I recently purchased the Cheyenne Chesterfield 95” tufted bench from Rising Tide Furniture, and I am absolutely thrilled with both the product and the experience from start to finish. The customer service and communication were truly exceptional, every response was honest, transparent, and impressively prompt. I always knew exactly where things stood throughout the process, and I never once had to wonder about the status of my order. Yes, the sofa took nearly six months to arrive, but for a handcrafted, custom-built piece of this quality, it was absolutely worth the wait. The ordering and selection process was so smooth and simple, and communication regarding production and shipping was timely, thoughtful, and reliable. And the final product? Stunning. The Cheyenne Chesterfield is beyond beautiful, the craftsmanship, quality of the leather, tufting, and overall build are extraordinary. I have nothing but praise for Rising Tide Furniture. They have earned my full trust, future business, and enthusiastic recommendation to anyone looking for gorgeous, heirloom-quality furniture made with care and integrity.
I had a lovely experience with rising tide. I ordered my beautiful Cheyenne 87 inch Chesterfield on July 25, 2025. Received my furniture last Friday. It is 100% worth waiting for. In fact, two days ago I ordered a Hemmingway Chesterfield 87 inch which I expect to be delivered the second week of March. Cole and his team are responsive to your request and Concerns! Just understand when you order that it will take four or five months or your Chesterfield to arrive. I caught my Rhodesian Ridgeback sitting on my brand new sofa this morning. I’m happy for her to sit there as long as she doesn’t scratch it. Best of luck to everyone thank you Cole.
We received the tufted bench couch in the color green. It is beautiful. The color is a bright green in the sunlight & a deep rich green in natural lighting. Yes, the bench is very firm. But we find it supportive and actually comfortable. The tracking and delivery process was without issue. The time frame was as expected and the company’s communication was very helpful and attentive to all of my questions. I would order again.
